George L. Howell is an associate at the Law Offices of Sullivan and Leavitt, PC. George comes to us with a wide range of experience and education that benefit his clients. Before attending law school, George was a police officer, which gives him a thorough understanding of the Fourth Amendment and police practices and procedures. After law school, George clerked for Justice Michael F. Cavanagh at the Michigan Supreme Court, gaining unique insights into appellate practice and the shape and direction of Michigan law.
George also taught English as a Second Language (ESL) while completing his degree in English Literature. This experience left George with a particular interest in the issues affecting those who come to the United States on immigrant or non-immigrant visas. George visits Japan regularly and speaks some Korean and Japanese.
